Merge a Spinner Upgrade Priority List
If it does not raise spawn floor, damage, or coins, it waits.
Upgrade priority is the other half of the spinner tier list. Spinners are bodies. Upgrades are the shop rows that decide which bodies you are allowed to buy. Buy in the wrong order and you will own a pretty trail and a lane that still leaks the red pack.
This list assumes you already placed two starters using getting started.
S — Spawn tier
Spawn tier (sometimes labeled spawn level, unit tier, or shop floor) is the silent multiplier. Every tick means the next purchase starts higher on the merge ladder. Community loaders expose “Auto Upgrade Tier” because humans forget to click it after a raid chest. Do not forget. If you only buy one upgrade this session, buy this.
Without spawn tier, the merge planner is a horror story of 64 identical blues.
A — Lane space and max spinners
More slots mean you can hold a pair in reserve without opening a hole. Merge tycoons punish a full board: you either sell a useful body or skip a shop buy. Extra space is A-tier until you can park an exclusive and a matching pair at the same time.
B — Merge speed / auto-merge (in-game)
If Flapjack sells a legal auto-merge or a faster combine, it is B. It saves thumbs. It also eats pairs during a leak if you leave it on in a raid. Turn it off for bosses, on for cleanup. The community auto-merge script is not this row — that is a loader, and it has safety costs.
B — Income multipliers that persist
Standing coin multipliers from rebirth and group rewards beat timed potions. Buy permanent income if the shop offers it after spawn tier. Timed 2x from a code is spent live, not worshipped as a build.
C — Start / retry quality of life
Auto start and auto retry as paid game systems (or HUD toggles) are convenience. They matter for offline if the plot needs an active start. They are not damage. Buy them when the S and A rows are done.
D — Cosmetics
Trails, lobby animations, name tags. After exclusives, after spawn tier, after space. If a shop row glows gold and does not mention damage, coins, or tier, it is D.
Spend sequences that actually happen
Fresh plot: second spinner → merge → spawn tier → space.
After a raid chest: spawn tier if affordable, else the pair that finishes the next merge. Never D.
After a code: spend the boost on shop buys that climb spawn floor, then let the timer die. Then consider rebirth using the checklist.
After a rebirth: spawn tier first even if an exclusive is tempting. An exclusive on a floor that still sells blues is a mascot, not a build.
How to read the shop when labels change
Patches rename rows. If you are unsure, ask: does this raise the tier of the next purchase, the number of bodies I can park, the coins per wave, or the way the board looks? Only the first three deserve coins before a raid. Recheck this page after the latest update.
When the shop is confusing, walk away and merge what you already own. The how to merge guide is still the cheapest upgrade in the game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Merge a Spinner on Roblox.
What is the first upgrade I should buy?
Spawn tier, after you own two matching starters. Everything else waits.
Is auto-merge an upgrade or a script?
It can be either. In-game toggles are B-tier convenience. External loaders are the scripts pages.
Should I buy luck?
Only if a patch makes luck raise spawn quality. Until then it is a D-tier trap next to spawn floor.
Do group bonuses count as upgrades?
They are standing multipliers. Claim them on the group rewards page, then follow this list with the extra coins.
